Moving Waters, Inc took on their biggest project yet fabricating and installing the Darling Marine Center at the University of Maine. What started as an empty room and a blank canvass quickly turned into a fully operational wet lab in just 11 short weeks. We installed an entirely new pumping system and a custom filtration system consisting of 437 valves and about 6000 feet of piping. We installed custom automated processing controls which calculates pump speed, flow rates, water temperature and water volume, heaters, chillers and saltwater degassers. This was all possible with the help of a Federal EDA (Economic Development Administration) Grant. This allows local business owners like oyster farmers to utilize the facility.
